About the event
May is mental health awareness month, the fight to break the stigma. Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), Transgender, Gender-Variant, Intersex (TGI), and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, Asexual (LGBQA++), communities experience stigma, discrimination and being unhoused more than any other community. We all need mental health for the betterment of our health.

As a community we don't talk about mental health. This stops individuals from receiving proper care. THis is our 3rd annual Mental HReserve Ball where it showcases various elements of expression through mental, philcal, spiritual, and emotional pain and survival. Nothing and no once can, no should they, define us. At this event, we utilize art, media, veology, dance, and entertainment to bring awareness to a lack of resources and services for marginalized communities.
